A cash bond is the full amount of the bond(s). Paying the bond(s) secures the release of a defendant from jail (assuming there is no hold on the inmate). At the conclusion of the inmate’s case, the cash bond will be returned by the Clerk or the Sheriff’s Office.
No. We are not a bonding company and do not act as a surety. We simply process the cash bond payment.
There are a lot of variables that affect how long it takes for an inmate to be released from custody. Such variables include officer workload, shift changes, feeding times, etc. On average, the release process can take anywhere from one to four hours. However, the Detention Center is notified immediately upon the cash bond payment.
Once you submit your credit card/debit card information to Cash Bond Online, we forward your payment to the Detention Center or Clerk’s Office. The Detention Center or Clerk’s Office will handle any refund, just as they would if the defentant paid the cash bond in person. Cash Bond Online is not in possession of the bond payment because it is transferred to the county. Upon completion of the case, you should contact the Clerk’s Office or the Detention Center to inquire as to how they process refunds.
No. Refunds are not applied to your credit card.

After proper documentation is received by Cash Bond Online, the refund will be made within 10 business days.
